Job Description
Responsible for developing and implementing direct and indirect labor standards and methods for production and material handling operations; analyzing labor performance; ensuring efficient manpower utilization; performing line balancing to support productivity and throughput targets; developing, maintaining, and deploying PFEP (Plan for Every Part) to optimize material flow, delivery methods, inventory, packaging, and line-side presentation; conducting ergonomic job evaluations and design workstations and material handling processes that meet Ford safety and ergonomic standards; analyzing process constraints and perform equipment and material handling cycle time analysis; responsible for recommending optimal manpower distribution; reviewing daily labor utilization and plant methods; preparing or supporting cost estimates and business cases for new or revised labor standards, methods, PFEP changes, and automation; reviewing and supporting changes to plant layout, manufacturing processes, routing, and material handling systems; conducting time and motion studies, including MODAPTS, and evaluate employee improvement suggestions; developing cycle line layouts for current and future vehicle programs using AutoCAD; leading job methodization, process allocation, and workload balancing activities; utilizing manufacturing and digital systems such as APT/GSPAS and CMMS to analyze labor, equipment performance, and maintenance data; utilize and apply knowledge of PFEP, Modapts, FMEA, SolidWorks, Project Management, CAPA, Kaizen, Six Sigma, AutoCAD, and Gage R&R to accomplish necessary tasks; applying DMAIC and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce variation, eliminate waste, and drive sustainable improvements; coordinating engineering and material handling changes; conducting value stream mapping, process audits, and Kaizen events; leading and supporting Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with FPS; evaluating, planning, and implementing material handling automation, including AGVs and AMRs, to improve safety, efficiency, and plant flexibility; developing and documenting cost-saving and productivity improvement projects; responsible for interface with Production Supervision, Skilled Trades, and the UAW to resolve job disputes and ensure labor standards alignment; and supporting production planning for product mix changes, line speed adjustments, and volume fluctuations.

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);Experience:
