Job Description
Responsible for developing and implementing lean material systems to support efficient internal logistics, material flow, and material presentation to manufacturing operations across steady-state production and new program launches; integrates lean manufacturing principles and standardized manufacturing systems to support efficient production and internal logistics operations; designing and executing plant-level material strategies, including part presentation, point-of-use delivery, kitting, small-lot strategies, sequencing support, storage concepts, and material handling methods to improve safety, quality, and productivity; creating, maintaining, and governing Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and related material standards, ensuring accurate definition of part attributes, packaging assumptions, replenishment methods, and line-side delivery requirements; performing material flow analysis to design and optimize internal logistics flows between centralized logistics or consolidation facilities and manufacturing plants, including inbound replenishment, return flows; utilize and apply knowledge of Facility and Warehouse Layout Design, Material Flow Analysis & Simulation, lean material strategies, Plan for Every Part (PFEP) Development, Continuous Improvement Methodologies, capacity analysis, production line balancing, process optimization, AutoCAD, FactoryCAD, and time & work measurement techniques to complete necessary tasks; leading facility and warehouse layout development for supermarkets, kitting areas, sequencing and staging zones, storage locations, and material handling aisles, ensuring effective space utilization, ergonomic access, and safe traffic flow; supporting program and launch readiness activities by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering, to plan, validate, and execute material readiness for new or modified production programs; establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards related to material system performance, such as delivery reliability, space utilization, labor efficiency, and line-side availability; driving corrective actions as needed; conducting capacity planning and bottleneck analysis for material handling resources, including labor, routes, equipment, and space, and implement countermeasures to improve throughput and reduce constraints; and evaluating and supporting the analysis and integration of material handling automation solutions to enhance material flow efficiency, consistency, and operational performance).

Lake Orion, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary:
$120,640 per year;
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience:
Two (2) years in the position above, as an Industrial Engineer, as a Manufacturing Engineer, as a Material Integration Engineer, or in a related occupation;
