Industrial Engineer (Job Code: 1039)

Job Description

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing Manufacturing Master Schedules to monitor execution, assess program readiness, and identify performance gaps; applying critical path methodology and advanced scheduling techniques for network development, constraint identification, and issue resolution; optimizing sequence of operations and end-to-end workflow through line balancing, buffer strategy, conveyor logic, and material flow analysis across production systems. Performing labor and manpower planning by developing crew plans based on production rates, takt time, and shift patterns to ensure effective resource utilization; utilize and apply knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, Six Sigma methodologies, plant and production simulation software, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput and production optimization techniques, material flow and workflow analysis, root cause analysis, AutoCAD, Statistical Process Control (SPC), automation system implementation techniques and project management.to complete necessary tasks; utilizing tools and methodologies including General Assembly systems, Material Integration, Siemens Plant Simulation, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and support layout design, process flows, and capacity validation. Conducting simulation studies and what-if analyses to evaluate throughput, resource utilization, and bottlenecks, and supporting equipment and automation integration including RFQs and cobots; developing metrics to monitor schedule adherence, capacity, and efficiency, and performing data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and resolve complex production issues; providing technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, and production teams by troubleshooting system-level issues, validating process changes; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operations.
Location:
Lake Orion, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary:
$112,320 per year;
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience:
one (1) year in the position above, as a Senior Industrial Engineer, or in a related occupation;
