Conduct program planning activities and evaluate the labor impact of current and future vehicle programs. Partner with cross-functional teams to assess new program content, complete labor allocations, and perform MODAPTS time studies to establish accurate cycle times and labor standards. Apply lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction methodologies to improve efficiency and support plant Industrial Engineering targets within Final Assembly. Analyze production constraints and perform cycle time studies to optimize process flow, balance workloads, and improve throughput for current and future vehicle programs. Lead the implementation of workstation layout changes, work balance adjustments, tooling improvements, material presentation enhancements, and process documentation updates. Perform ergonomic assessments and recommend solutions that improve employee safety, reduce risk, and enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and other plant functions to resolve process and method issues associated with new model launches and ongoing operations. Work closely with UAW representatives to evaluate work methods and maintain labor standard documentation in accordance with negotiated agreements . Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across manufacturing operations.
