Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance? Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role? Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?
Summary:
Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to optimize product, process, and service performance to meet program requirements. Develops plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, sequencing of operations, and work flows for manufacturing environments. Evaluates new techniques and technological developments for integration into production processes and service operations. Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel. Conducts workflow design and analysis for manufacturing and assembly operations. Develops models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics to leaders and customers. Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality. Develops and implements plans and programs for facility and factory modifications and revisions to operating methods. Creates product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices for production operations. Prepares operations plans including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis, and production change analysis to meet technical goals.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR). Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of experience with a Master's degree OR work-related experience with a PhD. 5+ years of experience in the field of Lean Manufacturing. 5+ years of experience in partnering with all key functions in an integrator or lead role. Experience developing plant layouts, capacity plans, and work flows for manufacturing operations. Experience developing models, databases, and spreadsheets for data analysis and metrics reporting. Experience implementing process improvements to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality. Experience developing facility modification plans and revising operating methods. Experience creating assembly instructions and standardizing assembly practices for production.
