Job Description

Production Engineer Job Description We are seeking a motivated Production Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on advancing battery production technology. This role involves working collaboratively with engineers, construction management, technicians, vendors, and contractors to achieve project milestones, from equipment procurement to launch. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones. Plan and execute equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and launch of battery production lines. Participate in advanced cleanliness protocols necessary for battery manufacturing. Support battery manufacturing trials to ensure equipment safety, quality, operation availability, and efficiency. Identify punchlist items, perform root cause analysis, and manage countermeasures. Summarize KPIs, manage mass-production handover, and support production issues. Engage with domestic and international teams to discuss open items and key project schedules. Create and maintain detailed schedules and budgets for assigned areas. Complete internal and external training. Essential Skills Mechanical engineering Mechanical design CAD and AutoCAD proficiency Manufacturing process and engineering Project management CapEx management Equipment installation Process engineering Continuous improvement Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related technical field or 8+ years equivalent experience. Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects. Project management experience with capital investments greater than $0.5M. Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Willingness for domestic and international business travel up to 25%. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and during shutdown periods as needed. Work Environment This position is onsite at a new battery plant, providing a flexible work/life balance. While travel can be a factor, rotational weeks can be arranged. The role is part of long-term, open-ended contracts with opportunities for learning and career advancement. The company offers 15 PTO days and 9 paid holidays per year, with time and a half compensation for hours worked over 40. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
