Job Description

Job Overview Our Client Motor North America's Battery Manufacturing Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Contract Engineer for our Implementation Group. This position's main responsibility is production preparation and new model launch of EV battery manufacturing equipment. This position is located at TBMNC in Liberty, North Carolina, and reports to an Engineering Manager in the Implementation Group.
Ideal Profiles:
Experience in calendaring processes. Hands-on expertise in laser cutting and/or laser welding.
Good Profiles:
Experience with battery electrode processes.
Acceptable Profiles:
Over 10 years of manufacturing experience. Experience with calendaring or rolling machines. Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves): Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field with 5+ years of equivalent work experience in an engineering role Experience with production preparation of Battery, Electronics or Chemical manufacturing equipment, including procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials and launch (3 years Required, 5 years Preferred) Experience creating process plans and machine specifications using lean manufacturing principles. Experience leading capital projects, including creating and maintaining detailed schedules, budgetary control, and KPI-based progress reporting (3 years Required, 5 years Preferred). Experience with AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo or similar, including the ability to read and interpret and modify 2D and 3D technical drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. (intermediate or above) Ability to business travel, both domestic and international, up to 25%. Ability to work weekends and shutdowns such as July and December.
Pay:
$50.00 - $53.00 per hour
