6 months with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance
Monday through Friday scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime required as needed

Responsibilities:
Support EMF with sequence cart design and coordinate with vendors from design through production.
Assist with Rack parts audits and optimize plant storage space.
Support the storage identification process and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Assist in developing and maintaining documentation process for ongoing projects.
Support PFEP documentation and updates.
Contributes by applying the knowledge of Operations Excellence principles and practices.
Assists the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins Operations Excellence Standards, and contributes to the development of logistics standards and working methods.
Works alongside business leaders, other functional leaders to proactively identify real issues and opportunities, develop prioritized improvement initiatives and coach them through to successful implementation.
Contributes by utilizing business knowledge and experience to identify growth opportunities for the internal functions to plant to improve outcomes for the customer.
Job Summary:
Assists with the design, improvement, and installation of integrated manufacturing or administrative systems which use people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists with the creation of standard work methods for new and current production lines.
Assists with the design of safe and efficient workstations for manufacturing environments, using plant layout, ergonomic, and workstation design principles.
Assists with cost analysis on make vs. buy decisions for component or sub-assemblies.

- Creates and/or modifies an optimized manufacturing process by incorporating knowledge of equipment, human interfaces, sequences of production steps, and facilities requirements in order to reduce process time and waste.

- Quantifies and evaluates the elements of work that make up a process by breaking it down into detailed steps to identify and reduce waste and redistribute work content to optimize process flows.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Basic level of relevant work experience required.

- This candidate will be responsible for reviewing part numbers and conducting analysis related to inventory and operational issues.
The role will also involve managing small projects focused on identifying and resolving process or inventory discrepancies.
Additional responsibilities include auditing inventory, gathering and analyzing data, and coordinating with vendors to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The candidate should have a strong understanding of design concepts in order to effectively collaborate with vendors. While this position will not involve creating designs, the individual will be expected to review CAD models and engineering concepts.
The manager is seeking candidates with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
