Description and Requirements We are hiring an Industrial Engineer Intern to join our growing manufacturing team at the NCSC Whitsett site. This onsite internship offers hands-on experience supporting production layouts, process flow, capacity planning, headcount analysis, and manufacturing-data analysis. You will have the opportunity to apply industrial engineering concepts to real operational challenges while supporting a site that is expanding its production lines and introducing new automation. Key Responsibilities Support the analysis of production layouts, process flow, and material flow. Assist with headcount, capacity, labor-utilization, and manufacturing-data analysis. Collect and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Support layout changes, workstation balancing, and workflow improvements. Assist with time studies and other manufacturing-performance evaluations. Participate in process-improvement and process-standardization activities. Support the development of reports, dashboards, and manufacturing-performance measures. Collaborate with production, quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams. Basic Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related discipline. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate findings clearly and work collaboratively with others. Ability to work onsite at the NCSC Whitsett site 40 hours a week and support the assigned first

Preferred Qualifications Coursework or project experience involving production layouts, process flow, capacity, data analysis, or manufacturing operations. Previous manufacturing, operations, internship, or academic project experience.
