What to Expect
The Production Controller reports directly to the Senior Production Controller and supports the optimization of production operations within the Semi Manufacturing environment. This role focuses on executing day-to-day production control tasks, maintaining accurate shop-wise schedules under guidance, and contributing to team efforts in inventory management and process efficiency. With a foundational understanding of operational workflows, the individual will assist in monitoring production trends, conducting audits, and resolving issues to support seamless execution across the value stream. The Production Controller will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy, mitigate risks, and contribute to Clear-to-Build communications, while gaining expertise in data-driven decision-making to drive throughput and quality improvements. What You'll Do
Support the development and maintenance of production control processes, including inventory management, transaction auditing, and operational workflows, by performing routine tasks and learning advanced techniques under the Senior Production Controller's direction
Assist in monitoring production trends across the Semi operation to identify potential limiters, risks, and bottlenecks, using basic data analysis to flag issues for senior review and support the deployment of resources during bridge calls for issue resolution
Conduct daily inventory monitoring and accuracy checks, including coordinating material movements within the factory and tracking levels in-house, at source, and in transit, while reporting discrepancies to the Senior Production Controller
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help identify and address blind spots in data, processes, or systems, ensuring timely closure of issues through guided coordination efforts
Perform transaction audits within ERP systems and production planning tools to verify compliance, traceability, and integrity of inventory movements, assist in root cause analysis for data discrepancies and support the implementation of corrective actions
Aid in project-specific budget tracking by capturing planned hours and actuals, working with planners, cost controllers, and process engineers to support data audits and physical validations as directed
Interface with equipment engineering, process engineering, systems engineering, data analytics, manufacturing, and quality teams to facilitate information flow, assist in resolving production issues, and implement basic corrective actions under supervision What You'll Bring
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, or a closely related field or equivalent experience
At least 6-8 years of hands-on experience in production settings, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in dynamic manufacturing environments
Proven expertise in resolving complex issues on fast-paced, high-volume production lines, showcasing the ability to troubleshoot and address operational challenges efficiently
Strong capacity to perform and make decisions in high-stakes, high-pressure situations, maintaining composure and focus to support uninterrupted production
Proficiency in optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance in evolving settings
Certifications such as APICS, Six Sigma, or proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL/Python are highly desirable, though not mandatory, to support advanced analytical and process improvement capabilities
Excellent problem-solving abilities, familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, experience in data-driven troubleshooting and workflow improvements, and strong communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration in demanding environments Compensation and Benefits
