Job Description

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Industrial Engineer to join our team. This position is perfect for a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, as no prior professional experience is required . The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for applying engineering principles to optimize and improve our metal finishing production processes, focusing on efficiency, quality, safety, and cost reduction. This role involves hands-on work on the production floor, data analysis, and collaboration with all levels of the organization.
Position Overview Process Optimization & Efficiency:
Assist in observing, documenting, and analyzing current metal finishing processes (e.g., plating, anodizing, coating, polishing) to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement. Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and workflow. Conduct time studies and work measurement to establish and document standard work procedures and production rates. Help design and optimize facility layouts, material flow, and equipment placement for maximum efficiency and reduced transit time.
Quality & Safety:
Collaborate with the Quality department to ensure processes adhere to quality standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100, NADCAP) Analyze production data to identify root causes of quality issues and process variation. Contribute to designing and implementing control systems to monitor processes and ensure consistent product quality.
Project Support & Documentation:
Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical documentation. Assist in generating reports, charts, and presentations to communicate findings, project progress, and recommendations to management and production teams. Provide basic engineering support to production operators and maintenance teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering field (required). No prior professional experience is required. Relevant coursework, university projects, or internships in a manufacturing environment are a plus. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. This is an on-site position; the company does not offer reimbursement for relocation or travel expenses related to the interview process. Total Compensation Package Wage $62,500 - $65,000 (Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience)
