Summary of Role:
As a Principal Industrial Engineer, you'll collaborate with other members of the Industrial Engineering department, Advanced Module Engineering, Finance, Facilities, Manufacturing/Operations Engineering & Product Integration teams to support Capital Expenses, assist with fab capacity data and ultimately improve factory output and reduce cycle time. Clear communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. This role is fully onsite at our Fab 8, Malta, NY facility.
Essential Responsibilities:
Understand Capacity Planning Systems and methods to calculate fab capacity/cycle time Update and run the capacity model for both ramp plans and new product analyses Analyze capacity output and make recommendations on fab tooling purchases, retrofits or transfers Understand and execute on capital processes and support capital execution/tracking Create detailed documentation of business processes, IE specifications, and operating procedures Support various departments in improving factory output using advanced analytics Participate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other project technical teams
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs Other responsibilities as assigned by manager / supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Education - BS in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Science discipline Experience - Minimum 4-year relevant technical experience for a high-volume manufacturing company, preferably semiconductor wafer manufacturing Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments Demonstrated ability to work well within a cross-functional teams

Education:
Master's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing science discipline Knowledge of Factory Physics and Principles Experience in a Wafer Fab or High-Volume Manufacturing Facility Knowledge of or training in Capacity Planning Lean six sigma certification Expected Salary Range $85,000.00 - $146,000.00 The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
