An Industrial Plant Engineer plans, designs, installs, and maintains industrial production plant facilities. Estimates production costs and performs feasibility studies in order to advise management on investment in new plants.
The Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the plant-level improvement process by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating improvement opportunities, and implementing improvement projects while ensuring plant improvements align with business objectives.
Improvement Engineer Essential Responsibilities:
Leads continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, defining project scope, and prioritizing process improvement opportunities Collaborates with cross-functional teams (operations, tech center, EH&S, maintenance) to develop and implement safe and effective project designs Ensures technical integrity and effective communication between teams and plant operations through all project phases (including FEL) Champions process safety, managing key project responsibilities, and leading new plant product trials
Improvement Engineer Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree• in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of experience leading plant-level improvement processes in a chemical manufacturing environment. Prior management of vendor proposals and quotations, contractor bids, and development of desired solutions preferred. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and work in a team environment. Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
