Packaging Engineering Supervisor 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars
Job Summary:
Mentor Packaging team through packaging new model development while improving Nifco standards and increasing productivity of team.
Essential Functions:
Coordinates new launch packaging development and readiness Communicates effectively with Fabricators/ Suppliers Ability to design and procure dunnage packaging for new launch and production Investigate Packaging Commonization options to maximize loops Assist with quality issues related to packaging Support RFQ Process for packaging, racking, and storage Effectively provide updates for program development reviews Analyze data to support sufficient packaging loop purchase Point of Contact for Customer throughout New Launch development Facilitates maintenance and implementation of control documents Assists and coordinate reimbursement activity for expendable packaging with OEMs and Tiers Facilitates weekly and daily meetings with the packaging team Actively seeks Kaizen opportunities for both internal and external packaging Maintain compliance to all safety and environmental expectations Ensure effective communication with internal Departments Promote excellent cleanliness and organization (5s) May occasionally be required to travel offsite, sometimes over night by land and/or air and possible international Other tasks as assigned by management
Education:
Bachelor's degree in industrial technology/ engineering or 10 years' experience in Logistics/Supply chain or related field
Skills/ Experience/Requirements:
Behave in a positive manner that will enhance the success of the Department and Company Demonstrates strong leadership skills Must demonstrate ability to prioritize, meet stringent deadlines and project management skills Demonstrate understanding of maintaining product quality with packaging Ability to construct and interpret charts and graphs Excellent interpersonal/ communication skills to interact effectively with customers, vendors and other personnel Must have the ability to motivate and lead others in a positive way Proven skills in problem solving and decision-making Highly detail oriented with the ability to motivate and lead others in a positive way Must demonstrate ability to effectively negotiate Must be able to maintain excellent attendance Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products/ Oracle Must be able to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, muliplication, division, and averages.

$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
