Machining Industrial Engineer

General Purpose of Position:

Responsible for the analysis of production operations to implement efficiency improvements related to man, machine, material and systems. Work involves leadership ability, critical thinking, analytical and interpersonal skills. Exercises independent judgment with minimal guidance from supervisor. Role will also include owning IE deliverables to support Throughput Improvement Process as well as manpower utilization and productivity

Primary Responsibilities:

Analyze complex manufacturing and engineering data Plan and implement productivity/manpower improvements Lead and provide data analysis for constraint management and Throughput Improvement Process (TIP) (daily/weekly and Monthly)

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish operational methods and work standards improvements using standard time data or other measurement techniques. Provide information to Manufacturing team supporting actual performance and improvement opportunities including losses and gains Record and analyze information on specific problems assigned in the utilization of personnel, material, machines and facilities Work collaboratively with engineering disciplines, floor and shop personnel and outside suppliers Confirm, recommend and implement changes to layouts, labor and/or machine processes Update and maintain man/Machine cycle time information, utilization and over speed. Must support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals Must be willing to work any assigned shift, work daily, weekend, and holiday time as required Update and maintain area layouts Conduct Ergonomic assessments as needed.

Required Skills/Experience:

Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Intermediate to Advance level preferred Working knowledge of Auto Cad Good interpersonal skills including ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally to analyze and solve problems Good written and oral communication skills necessary for meetings and presentations Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently Knowledge of work measurement and work standards Experience in manufacturing environment Ability to use lean tools to reduce waste 3+ years of Manufacturing or relative engineering experience required Preferred prior engine machining launch experience Required Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
