Job Description
About the Role As a Production Systems Engineer, you will lead the optimization of complex manufacturing workflows and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will leverage your expertise in CAD software and precision machining to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest quality standards across our production lines. Responsibilities Design, integrate, and refine manufacturing systems to maximize output and minimize production waste. Utilize statistical analysis to identify root causes of process failures and implement robust corrective actions. Oversee and mentor a multidisciplinary team of technicians, programmers, and support staff to ensure project success. Manage the full lifecycle of Bill of Materials (BOM) development and engineering change requests. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select high-quality materials and ensure component specifications meet rigorous standards. Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation to support ongoing process improvement and compliance. Troubleshoot complex design and material challenges to maintain seamless production flow. Required Skills Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering design software. Deep understanding of fixture design, tool and die, and precision machining techniques. Expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) with experience working to .0001" tolerances. Strong background in CNC programming and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems. Preferred Skills Experience in high-precision industries such as Aerospace, Medical Device manufacturing, or Can Tooling. Proven track record of implementing Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies. Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing technical and administrative personnel.
