At EWIE, we strive to lead in implementation and management of solutions focused on supply chain optimization for metalworking and industrial supply commodities. The objective of these solutions is to reduce customers "Total Cost" while increasing customer satisfaction. This engineering specialist position is part of a team located on-site at one of our industrial customers: Ford Motor Company at the Sharonville, Ohio Transmission Plant. The role consists of routine monitoring, data management and cost-savings projects related to two major areas: metalworking fluid systems required for aluminum and steel machining, and aqueous fluid systems required for part cleaning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

Share responsibilities of the engineering aspects pertaining to the chemical management contract Take all appropriate actions necessary to meet our quality policy and code of ethics Take all appropriate actions necessary to meet health, safety, security and environmental expectations, including themes of: no accidents, no harm to people, and no damage to the environment Develop, cultivate and maintain customer relationships with pertinent members of: production management, maintenance management, union personnel, machine vendors and second-tier vendors Create project ideas in the realm of cost-savings, consumable volume reduction or other operational efficiency improvement within target areas of plant production Troubleshoot and propose steps of resolution towards fluid-related operation issues as they arise Inspect both fluid and associated mechanical systems on a regular basis to ensure optimal performance Review on-site and third-party lab results to develop understanding of fluid health as it compares to machining performance Meet regularly with chemical management team to review ongoing elements of safety, chemical awareness, short/long term project progress and day-to-day operations Demonstrate high accountability of awareness for designated production areas that will be part of routine analysis and observation Maintain a satisfactory status of successfully completing annual safety trainings and refreshers at their required intervals Provide timely report statuses for designated production areas while maintaining database management via Microsoft Excel

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's degree in engineering/engineering technology Possess a working knowledge navigating computer software applications Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Microsoft Excel) Understanding and adhering to quality management systems, operating management systems and control plans Ability to be a team player and communicate effectively amongst peers of several different disciplines

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's of Science in chemical engineering Working knowledge of metalworking chemistry, metalworking fluid filtration and steel machining with 3-5 years of experience
