Job Description
Cosmo Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision engineered plastic components for the electrical and electronics industries. We produce over 500 million components each year, and our products can be found in nearly every type of consumer and industrial electronic device. We are a growth-oriented company with an 81 year history of innovation and quality. We have an immediate opening in our Cleveland, OH corporate headquarters for a qualified Supplier Quality Engineer.
Primary Responsibilities :
Develop, lead and oversee the quality assurance initiatives and programs for Cosmo's plastic molding and assembly operations, including:- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality questions, cautions, and complaints.
- Lead investigations and perform root cause analysis with Engineering and Plant Quality/Production teams
- Prepare and manage 8D Corrective Action Reports
- Track, verify, and document corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain and improve the
ISO 9001
Quality Management System (QMS)- Prepare for and lead internal and external audits
- Develop, implement and monitor metrics, policies and procedures to ensure product quality and drive continuous improvement.
- Support cross-functional problem solving and process improvement
- Prepare and maintain customer and internal quality documentation
- Provide support and assistance to international manufacturing plant QA departments.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a quality assurance leadership role in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methods (8D, CAPA, etc.)
- Working knowledge of
ISO 9001
requirements and audit processes- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple issues simultaneously
- Comfortable working on the production floor as needed
- Plastics molding experience preferred.
- Experience leading ISO9001 audits
- Excellent problem solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
