- Be active in ergonomic studies and lean activities to determine safety and cost reduction opportunities.
- Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant and product features
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine assembly sequence.
- Strong data analytical skills
- Develop a project pipeline for cost takeout/loss removal including working closely with finance department to validate potential savings
- Assist in developing and implementing optimized workflows, layouts, and methods to enhance production flow, minimize waste, and improve resource utilization using lean principles.
- Ensure new models/parts efficiently integrate into operations
- Drive continuous improvement through detailed analytics
- Support WCM implementation by providing leadership to continuous improvement group
- Lead and manage multiple Kaizens of various complexity with minimal oversight. ## Minimum requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of industrial engineering or continuous improvement experience ## Preferred skills and experiences
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other Engineering disciplines considered with experience in lean manufacturing, time studies, or process optimization
- Strong background in World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
- Strong knowledge of MODAPTS, Proplanner tools, Autocad
- Creative problem-solving techniques and ability to accomplish tasks and objectives
- Outstanding organization, communication, and leadership skills
- Competent on PC and mainframe systems related to responsibilities
