As a student of the Supplier Quality Engineering team, you will be an active contributor to our Supplier Development process. You will support the technical qualification of new suppliers and parts, ensuring rigorous adherence to quality standards through the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) frameworks. Job DescriptionWhat you'll do (Job Responsibilities)Support the Supplier Development team in executing technical qualification audits and assessments for new suppliers.
Facilitate the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) by coordinating with suppliers to ensure all documentation and technical requirements are met.
Assist in the execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) milestones for new product introductions.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and quality plans to ensure alignment with GE Vernova engineering standards.
Track and manage qualification project timelines to ensure components are ready for production on schedule.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical gaps identified during the qualification phase.
Support the creation and maintenance of technical qualification records and databases.
Participate in on-site supplier visits or virtual technical reviews to monitor process readiness.
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, or Systems Engineering).Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and technical drawing interpretation (GD&T).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for documentation and data tracking.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Eligibility Requirements Must be able to work on-site at the facility full-time to support shop floor operations; this role does not involve travel.
Must be willing and able to work in a manufacturing shop floor environment, including exposure to noise and industrial equipment.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
