Job Description:
Packaging Engineer Leading Global Consumer Products company One of the world's most respected and leading global Consumer Products companies, located in the Fort Washington, PA area has an immediate need for a Packaging Engineer. In this role you will join the Packaging Innovation Team, helping to drive packaging development of innovation projects for North America. You will help lead packaging development projects, accelerate the pipeline, while ensuring quality execution. You will work closely with your manufacturing cross-functional partners from concept, through scale up, to product launch. The ideal candidate will have direct Packaging Innovation experience in the Personal Care Consumer Products industry (Personal Care, Skin Health, Beauty, Cosmetics, OTC, food, chemicals).Shop floor experience in a packaging engineering role, leading line trials, and packaging validation activities is preferred.
Additionally:
Technical background in primary packaging development and design, specification, testing, tooling/molding process, materials, and manufacturing qualification. Secondary packaging experience a plus. Industry background can be any of the following: personal care, beauty, food, chemicals.
Location:
Fort Washington, PA. Must be able to be on-site at the facility, 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Component Development for components typically used in Personal Care products: Bottles, Tubes, Caps, Closures, Pumps, etc Packaging Specification development, review and implementation Lead packaging line trials Packaging Validation Labeling changes Die line experience and understanding GMP experience strongly preferred Conduct and manage Packaging Testing Change Control documentation Writing Technical Justifications Work with R D and Ops BS Degree in Packaging Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
