Job Description

TE Connectivity's Supplier Quality, Advanced Quality and Engineering Launch Readiness teams ensure externally sourced products, PBL suppliers and supplier-led launches comply with TE specifications, customer requirements, quality standards and launch-readiness expectations. The SQA Manager will own PBL supplier quality end-to-end and act as the AQE partner for Engineering . This role is accountable for supplier qualification, supplier technical readiness, validation planning, quality risk review, complaint handling, corrective action, supplier development and launch quality discipline for PBL and externally sourced product lines. The role connects Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing Quality, Product Management and suppliers to prevent quality escapes, reduce launch disruption and ensure suppliers are ready before business commitments are made. •

•Job Requirements Own PBL supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers, product families and externally sourced components from onboarding through sustaining production. Drive supplier launch readiness including technical capability review, manufacturing process assessment, validation evidence, PPAP/APQP-equivalent packages, FMEA/control-plan review and readiness gates. Partner with Engineering to translate product requirements, drawings/specifications, CTQs and validation needs into supplier-executable quality requirements before release. Lead supplier assessment, onboarding, qualification and extensions for new suppliers, lifecycle suppliers and transferred product lines. Coordinate supplier process audits, capability reviews, part approval, incoming quality readiness and release criteria before product or supplier release. Monitor supplier quality KPIs including defects, complaints, repeat issues, audit findings, corrective action quality, responsiveness and cost of poor quality. Drive containment, 8D/root cause analysis, corrective action closure, lesson-learned deployment and recurrence prevention with suppliers. Lead supplier quality escalation for quality crises, repeated non-conformance, poor responsiveness or weak corrective action. Operate as the quality bridge between Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing Quality, Plant Operations, Product Management and suppliers. What your background should look like Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related technical discipline. Advanced degree or quality certification preferred. 8 or more years of experience in supplier quality, advanced quality, manufacturing quality, quality engineering, supplier development or technical operations. Experience supporting PBL/private-label supply chains, externally sourced components or supplier-led product launches is preferred. Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, process audits, root cause analysis, 8D, containment, corrective action, incoming inspection and quality systems. Working knowledge of NPI launch quality methods such as APQP, PPAP or equivalent validation evidence, FMEA, control plans and readiness gates. Ability to support Engineering by translating product requirements and technical risks into supplier quality plans and launch-readiness deliverables. Experience with SAP, supplier portals, complaint systems, supplier scorecards, PPAP/APQP, FMEA, control plans and statistical quality tools. Excellent communication, planning, time management and technical writing skills with the ability to convert quality issues into concise business-risk updates. Strong leadership capability to build effective teams, deploy standard work, develop talent and drive results across a global supplier base.
Work Location:
Remote-flexible based on business need and HR alignment. Travel between 10-25% to customer sites and Corp Key Success Measures PBL supplier quality performance: PPM / defect rate, complaint reduction, repeat issue reduction and customer disruption avoidance.
Launch quality readiness:
supplier approval status, validation completion, audit closure, gate readiness and open-risk reduction before release.
AQE execution:
completeness of CTQ alignment, risk reviews, validation evidence, FMEA/control-plan review and launch checklist discipline.
Corrective action performance:
8D timeliness, root cause quality, recurrence prevention and sustained effectiveness.
Cost of poor quality:
chargeback recovery support, scrap/rework reduction and supplier-caused cost accountability.

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience:(subject to change dependent on physical location)
US:
$102,900•$130,000
Canada:
$86,200•$107,800
MXN:
$877,000•$1,096,200 Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
