Work Term #1Update plant layouts of machines and equipment using CAD (MicroStation)Write, design, and coordinate work requests to install/relocate equipmentPerform time studies and delay studies of machine cycles and operator stationsParticipate in improvement projects focused on operator stationsSupport projects focused on Lean Manufacturing Principles (typically Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Pull Systems/Kanban, Quick Changeover, physical mock-ups/simulations, and Standard Work)Participate in ergonomic evaluations and improvementsTrainingSAPMicrostationLean Manufacturing conceptsWork measurementErgonomics Work Term #2All responsibilities listed for Work Term 1Design, implement, and improve material handling systemsParticipate in Lean Line Design/Continuous Flow WorkshopsResponsible for a large project from inception to completionTrainingTime standard calculationsLean Manufacturing training workshops - Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Logistics Basics Work Term #3 +All responsibilities listed for Work Terms 1 and 2I.E. responsibility for a small department within the plantQualificationsPursuing a BS in Industrial/Systems EngineeringExcellent oral and written communication skills.
