Job Description

Mega Metal Inc. is seeking Production Engineers for both 2nd shift and 3rd shift to support our growing U.S. manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, maintain product quality, reduce waste, and support safe, reliable production. The Production Engineer will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to solve technical problems and improve manufacturing performance. Our U.S. operation is being built to provide customers with faster logistics, localized support, and the same production standards that have defined Mega Metal globally. What You'll Do As a Production Engineer, you will have a hands-on role supporting manufacturing operations and improving production performance.
Responsibilities include:
Analyze production workflows to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve machine and labor productivity. Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues and perform root-cause analysis to identify and correct recurring problems. Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process controls to support consistent product quality. Use production data and statistical process controls to identify trends, variation, and opportunities for improvement. Evaluate production line capacity, equipment placement, machine utilization, and overall process flow. Partner with maintenance technicians to support preventive maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime. Support the implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the production area. Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methods to improve manufacturing performance. Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, engineering, and leadership teams to support operational improvements and new product introductions. Communicate technical processes, troubleshooting steps, and production expectations clearly to machine operators and other manufacturing employees. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and production equipment. Experience with CAD software and manufacturing or process simulation tools. Strong data analysis skills using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Python, or SQL. Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate technical information into practical instructions for production employees. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond effectively to production issues as they arise. Shift Availability We are currently hiring Production Engineers for: 2nd Shift 3rd Shift Candidates should be comfortable working their assigned shift consistently and supporting manufacturing operations during those hours. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
