Technical acumen - aptitude to understand complex manufacturing and design requirements, as well as the operational processes associated with chemical plants/equipment. Mechanical understanding relevant to electrical enclosures, mechanical assembly integration, surface mount technology (SMT), ARM-based platforms like Arduino or embedded systems development. Experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering environment with a focus on electronics design, troubleshooting, and system verification. Qualifications — Education, Experience and Competencies Required Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. At least 3 years' experience of industrial engineering in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success leading process-improvement projects and delivering measurable results. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis. Proficiency with CAD tools (such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks) and data-analysis tools (such as Excel, Minitab, or Power BI). Experience with ERP/MES systems such as SAP, Oracle, Plex, or similar platforms. Strong project-management, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate and influence across functions and organizational levels, listen to differing perspectives, and resolve problems constructively. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Preferred Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Experience with simulation software such as Arena, FlexSim, or AnyLogic. Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI) or capital projects. Familiarity with automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies. Core Skills & Values Process-oriented, with a focus on building repeatable processes and sustaining improvements. Proactive problem-solver who anticipates issues rather than simply reacting to them. Service-minded and focused on solutions that benefit internal and external customers. Respectful, approachable, and collaborative; assumes positive intent and communicates thoughtfully. Acts with integrity, follows through on commitments, and maintains high standards for quality and continuous improvement. Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
