Job Description
Oak Ridge, TN | Industrial Microwave Engineer | Full-Time We are actively recruiting an Industrial Microwave Engineer for our client in Oak Ridge, Tennessee . This is a full-time opportunity that will require onsite work in Oak Ridge on a regular Monday-Friday schedule . This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with expertise in high-power microwave systems, industrial heating applications, and electromagnetic design to contribute to complex engineering projects in a multidisciplinary environment. Must have experience with industrial microwave system design, electromagnetic analysis tools, and industrial heating applications. Due to client request, candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize industrial microwave heating systems used in production and processing environments. Develop microwave system design documents, calculations, reports, and engineering drawings. Design and support high-power microwave components. Engineer solutions for operation in vacuum, pressurized, corrosive, and other challenging industrial environments. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for project stakeholders, procurement teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups. Develop basis of design documentation and scopes of work. Prepare equipment specifications for microwave generators, applicators, plasma suppression systems, arcing prevention equipment, and supporting systems. Perform microwave engineering calculations and technical analyses. Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project design criteria. Apply appropriate engineering procedures, design standards, guidelines, and tools. Support equipment selection, project budgets, schedules, and vendor coordination. Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to achieve project objectives. Support refurbishment, modernization, and upgrades of existing industrial facilities. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 4 years of microwave design experience in industrial heating, high-power RF, or related applications. Experience using network analyzers to characterize component performance, validate modeling results, and troubleshoot microwave systems. Knowledge of industrial microwave heating systems, applicator technologies, electromagnetic systems, and microwave engineering calculations.
