Permanent, Full-time Job Summary:
Develops and maintains production process' that meet expectations of capacity, capability, safety, scrap rate, start-up/change-over time and customer requirements. Update and control of engineering documents (including PFMEA, PFD, Work Instructions, Trial Reports, Tooling Records and Process Change Documents). Use of good judgment and skill in troubleshooting root-causes and implementing corrective measures to chronic issues with meeting production targets.
Essential Functions:
  • PFMEA creation and proper updates proving use as a living document and a continuous improvement tool.
  • Develops and implements the designated process for extrusion production readiness, meeting quality standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Resolution of product or production difficulties on all extrusion lines.
  • Assists in the investigation and analysis of new materials, equipment, and engineering practices.
  • Ensures processes maintain required process control within all areas of extrusion.
  • Ensures readiness for scheduled run-at-rate and PPAP due dates.
  • Strives to develop and recommend solutions to continuously improve existing extrusion production processes.
  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
  • Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required or directed.
  • Assures that a positive employee relation's position is maintained. Ensures that the company's management principals, policies and programs are consistently practiced.
  • Assures that effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures optimum performance of the function. Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices.
  • Implement and assure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding all applicable governmental regulatory compliance issues.
  • Adheres to company initiatives on business ethics and conduct .
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety, Environmental, 6
S, and Production Information Boards Experience/Educational Requirements:
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years with extrusion or similar manufacturing role.
  • Sound Knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria preferred. Qualifications/Abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills required.
  • Proven proficiencies in process documentation is essential.

From $70,000.00 per year
