Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. The Role T1 Energy is seeking an experienced IQA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will be the primary technical owner for incoming raw material quality, ensuring every component entering our supply chain meets T1 Energy's strict specifications before it reaches the production floor. Working closely with suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing teams, you will build robust incoming inspection systems, manage supplier quality performance, and drive systematic improvements that protect the integrity of our solar module manufacturing operation. What You'll Do Incoming Quality Control Conduct and support incoming inspections for raw materials, components, and production supplies. Review material specifications, drawings, certificates, and supplier quality documents. Identify, label, and control non-conforming incoming materials to prevent unintended use. Maintain accurate inspection records and material quality documentation. Supplier Quality Support Track supplier quality issues, incoming defects, and material-related trends. Work with suppliers, Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Engineering to resolve material quality issues. Support supplier corrective actions and follow up on issue closure. Assist with supplier performance reviews and improvement activities as needed.
NCR, MRB & CAPA
Support NCR and MRB processes for incoming material non-conformances. Provide inspection data and quality records to support material disposition decisions. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action tracking for recurring material issues. Verify that corrective actions are completed and effective. Material Qualification & Production Support Support new material qualification, material changes, and trial production activities. Partner with Engineering and Production to evaluate material performance. Assist in developing or updating inspection standards, control plans, and quality requirements. Support audits, trials, and improvement projects as required. Record and analyze incoming inspection results and supplier defect data. Prepare quality reports and communicate material quality trends to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Support quality metrics related to incoming materials and supplier performance. Who You Are Solid understanding of incoming quality inspection in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with supplier quality, NCR, MRB, and CAPA processes. Ability to read specifications, drawings, and supplier quality documents. Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measurement methods. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits. Effective communicator across suppliers, departments, and production teams. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required. 3-5 years of quality engineering, supplier quality, or incoming quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in solar, semiconductor, electronics, automotive, or advanced manufacturing is preferred. Experience with incoming inspection, supplier quality issues, NCR/MRB, and CAPA preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001, quality records, and manufacturing quality systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office. ERP/MES or QMS software experience is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
