About the Role We are seeking a Sr. Production Engineer to join our Operations team in Dallas, TX. This is an on-site, hands-on role ideal for an analytical, motivated engineer eager to develop expertise in production optimization, cost control, and field operations. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, the field and surveillance teams, and the accounting and finance departments, you will support daily production operations, ensure financial accuracy, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. This position provides a clear growth path for engineers who want to evolve into technical leaders within oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities Monitor & Optimize Production:
Track well performance, analyze downtime trends, and collaborate with field teams to maximize production efficiency.
Support Artificial Lift Strategies:
Assist in the design, evaluation, and implementation of artificial lift systems to enhance well productivity.
Financial Accountability:
Review and approve lease operating expenses (LOE), support monthly JIB and revenue reporting, and maintain financial accuracy.
Vendor & Cost Oversight:
Conduct vendor audits, evaluate contract compliance, and identify opportunities for cost savings without sacrificing operational integrity.
Field Collaboration:
Engage directly with field personnel through site visits, troubleshooting, and operational assessments.
Data Integrity & Reporting:
Provide accurate production data and operational analysis to support decision-making and financial reporting. What You'll Bring Bachelor's or Master's in Petroleum Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering considered). 5-7 years of experience in production, operations, or energy engineering
Skills & Attributes:
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Wolfpak or similar accounting/invoicing software. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-motivated and adaptable with a desire to take ownership and grow within the organization. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience or academic exposure to artificial lift systems, production troubleshooting, or well optimization. Background in team-oriented environments (e.g., military, collegiate athletics, or community leadership). Strong sense of accountability and drive for continuous improvement.
