Key Responsibilities:
Sr. Analysts demonstrate these skills to support value-added projects across many of United's departments Working on or leading workstreams within projects in conjunction with business teams to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyze information and data, develop improvements and innovations. Create testing and data gathering plans, then gather and analyze data from United's various operations and make fact-based, data-driven recommendations. Utilizing technical skills and software (simulation in SIMO/ARENA, Excel, VBA, etc.) to analyze and improve business processes and to create tools for use by other departments. Participate in, contribute to, or lead workshops, Kaizen events, etc. Performing or leading measurement and analysis (time and motion studies) in different environments, including airports, maintenance bases, customer contact centers, etc. Document findings, then compellingly present them to business leaders, gaining the stakeholder buy-in necessary for quantifiable, sustainable improvements. Help source and develop new projects and opportunities through research and analysis. Qualifications What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or other relevant degrees. 2 years of experience in analytics, engineering, continuous improvement, or consulting Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft products and in statistical software such as Minitab or JMP Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Technology or business Administration Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification from a recognized institution Experience with SIMIO/ARENA, SQL, Minitab, Visual Basic (VBA), and other programming tools The base pay range for this role is $89,965.00 to $117,212.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
