Production 5S Engineer
Production Management:
o Supervise daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. o Monitor production lines and adjust schedules and workflows to meet production targets. o Ensure that production processes are operating within established quality and safety standards. o Ensure meeting daily KPI. o Responsible for the overall shop floor according to area/section assigned. o Ensure all assigned production employees undergo required training and perform their job accordingly. o Ensure to report daily achievement and issue to management o Responsible for shop floor stock accuracy.
Process Optimization:
o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs. o Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. o Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and product quality.
Quality Assurance:
o Monitor and maintain product quality through regular inspections and testing. o Investigate and resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. o Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
o Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process deviations. o Collaborate with process and equipment teams to address complex problems and implement solutions. o Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards. o Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards. o Develop and enforce safety procedures and training programs for production staff.
Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of production activities, including process changes, equipment checklist, and quality control. o Prepare and present reports on production performance, issues, and improvement initiatives. o Document and communicate best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Team Collaboration and Training:
o Work closely with production staff, engineers, and other departments to achieve production goals. o Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures. o Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in production engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years' Proven experience in production engineering or a similar role within a high tech. manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality control practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis, process improvement methodologies, and production management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MES, SPC).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or project management.
- Experience in Solar cell manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the production sector.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
- Willingness to continuously learn and update skills.
Working Conditions:
- Standard office environment with frequent visits to the manufacturing floor.
- May require occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations.
- May involve working with machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Pay:
