Job Description
This is a range 6 position and will close 9/24/2026 US Synthetic has an immediate need for a Bearings Process Engineer located in Orem, UT. The Bearings Process Engineer will work with the Bearings engineering group to develop and improve manufacturing processes associated with Bearing production. Utilize data-driven methods of PDCA and Six Sigma (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) to problem-solve, Poka-Yoke and innovate. Work with and be a resource to production areas and manage reactive needs of production to allow temporary countermeasures and long-term changes. Utilize problem solving methods at "Gemba" (at the worksite) such as PDCA, DMAIC, FMEA, Design of Experiments (DOE), Vertical Value Streams (VVS) and Value Stream Maps (VSM) to drive continuous improvement and produce results Run cross-functional and new product development teams at Gemba to a specific objective using continuous improvement tools to organize and drive the objective of the team Work with the operators and leaders on the production floor to develop and implement poka-yokes to improve assigned process Effectively utilize and manage a student engineer to address reactive needs of the floor and to allow temporary countermeasures and long-term changes Utilize lean manufacturing principles in all processes and product changes Create, maintain and perform audits on standardized work documents i.e. Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) andCritical Knowledge Yokoten:

Knowledge on machine shop practices, methods and procedures Good written and oral communication skills Ability to speak in front of crowds Working toward a Six Sigma Black Belt Ability to effectively utilize DOE training Self-starter Able to read, create and modify technical drawings and 3-D models Mechanical aptitude Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams Able to work with others for the purpose of training and instructing production personnel following the job instruction method (TWI) Proficient with Microsoft Office Proficient with statistical analyzing software, i.e. Minitab, JUMP, etc. Pass respirator fit test Ability to work flexible shift hours when need arises Pro-E knowledge Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, application and implementation Patience Understand and analyze testing and metallurgical data Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, working to maintain constructive working relationships Problem solving skills Willing to be trained Capable of maintaining a neat workplace (5S)Benefits
