Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Industrial Systems Engineer 3 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Newport News, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience. Master's Degree and 3 years of experience. Ph.D. and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. o The Industrial Systems Engineer provides strategic technical leadership for the Digital Plant program, driving migration of legacy machine network assets into a unified Operational Technology (OT) environment and enabling secure OEM remote access. o The candidate should have extensive experience and knowledge of industrial systems engineering. o They will collaborate and ensure solutions align to the enterprise strategy at NNS. o
PPE:
Hardhat, Safety Glasses, Ear Protection which will be provided via NNS. Steel toes shoes are required to be purchased.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. o Enclave migration of machine network assets into the enterprise IIOT network, defining migration plans, validation procedures, and cut over schedules. oDesign and implement secure OEM remote access provisioning and ongoing management, coordinating with security and vendor teams. oGuide the decomposition of legacy monolithic systems and develop decoupling strategies that preserve operational continuity. oAlign architecture decisions with IIOT security, infrastructure, and operational standards. oEnsure all migration and remote access activities meet applicable compliance and cybersecurity requirements. oParticipate in long range IIOT architecture planning and roadmap development. oEstablish practical architecture guardrails that encourage consistency without impeding delivery.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): oExperience with enterprise level initiatives or platform responsibilities oValue stream mapping, Lean prioritization, or portfolio planning experience oAbility to define and enforce product workflows, standards, or governance practices oAdvanced SAFe or product management certification oExperience shaping long range product planning, solutions, and financial prioritization. Primarily supports Level 5 Systems Architect. Needs to have strong technical skills.

High school diploma or equivalent. School must be accredited.

5/40,workweek. 7:30 AM - 4 PM. Hybrid position. HYB
