reviews Full-time Join the team at Eck Industries, a leader in aluminum casting and innovation for over 75 years. We're looking for a Simulation Engineer who will develop casting gating and run Magmasoft simulation models to develop new castings and improve existing designs to continuously improve casting quality. What You'll Do Design gating systems for new and existing jobs through the utilization of CAD modeling. Perform solidification analysis using Magmasoft. Analyze and develop reports with detailed findings from review of Magmasoft results. Correlate real world casting issues to Magmasoft results and use the software to make process improvements. Develop new tooling with external pattern shops and in-house process engineering team. Create new job process controls. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel. What We're Looking For Thorough understanding of gating and risering basics in aluminum. Magmasoft and CAD experience required. Basic understanding of tooling design and construction. Proficiency in reading drawings and GD&T is preferred. This position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a team environment. Experience with nondestructive examinations (Visual, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography) Strong organization and project management skills. Knowledge of process mapping and Lean/6 Sigma tools are preferred. Education Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field or 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
