Job Description
Mechanical Remanufacturing TechnicianPosition Summary The Mechanical Remanufacturing Technician is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and remanufacturing mechanical equipment using updated components and engineering revisions. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure all assemblies meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate has experience with complex mechanical assembly, precision measurement tools, and quality inspections in a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, industrial, or heavy equipment environment.
Shift:
5:00 PM - 1:30AM Training Schedule:
First two weeks will be conducted on day shift for onboarding and hands-on training. Responsibilities + Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and remanufacture mechanical equipment according to established procedures and engineering specifications. + Install updated components and engineering change revisions into existing equipment. + Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation. + Perform detailed inspections of components and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards. + Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and other inspection equipment. Required Qualifications + 3+ years of mechanical assembly, equipment rebuild, remanufacturing, or related technician experience. + Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly documentation. + Experience using precision inspection tools such as: + Micrometers + Bore gauges + Calipers + Dial indicators + Gauge blocks + Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. + Ability to troubleshoot and identify assembly or component issues. + Strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications + Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery environments. + Experience performing equipment rebuilds, repairs, or remanufacturing projects. Physical Requirements + Ability to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds. + Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. + Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform hands-on mechanical work throughout the shift. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing environment that involves the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment. The Mechanical Remanufacturing Technician will work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure rebuilt equipment meets all performance and quality requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Menlo Park, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
