  • $25/hr BOE Position is for an aerospace/defense client.
United States citizenship is required. Candidates with previous aerospace/defense experience are preferred. Aerospace/defense client is looking for an Engineering Technician 1 to support their Integration Test & Launch department, working on space flight hardware in a fun, challenging, and gratifying work environment. This position will serve on-site at Redondo Beach, CA. Responsibilities Assemble, integrate and test space flight hardware while interpreting blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. Handle and assemble delicate and ESD sensitive flight hardware in a dynamic team environment. Assist with occasional assembly of non-flight Ground Support Equipment and work with forklifts, cranes and associated rigging equipment. Basic Qualifications for Engineering Technician 1 Basic understanding of Mechanical principles, and blueprint comprehension, ability to work with computers & Microsoft tools, and able to work in a team environment. Knowledge of tools and measurement devices. Preferred Qualifications for Engineering Technician 1 Experience and knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical tools and hardware. This position is intended to be contracted to hire.
