MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN I EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED HS
diploma/equivalent; experience may substitute Two (2) yrs journeyman-level automotive/diesel mechanic exp. OR one (1) yr in BPS Bus/Support Vehicle Maintenance with favorable skill evaluation by Shop Supv/Asst. Dir PREF - Computer skills
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING REQUIRED
Fl CDL Class B or higher with air brakes, Passenger (P), and School Bus (S) endorsements within 3 months of employment Certified D.O.E. School Bus Inspector within 1 yr of appt PREf - A.S.E. certification in Heavy Duty Truck, School Bus, and/or Automobile Repair, or FAPT Master Repair Technician (MRT). Valid certification qualifies for a 5upplement Favorable evaluation requires all high/exemplary ratings and supv recommendation
