Pre-Treatment Plant Technician HK Solutions Group - 1.5 Des Moines, IA Job Details Full-time $21 - $25 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Wastewater treatment Forklift Facilities maintenance Full Job Description HK Solutions Group operates an industrial pre-treatment plant in Des Moines, IA to remove oils and metals from non-hazardous liquid, sludge and solid waste. We are seeking a Pre-Treatment Plant Technician. This is a full-time, day shift position. Primary working hours will be Monday-Friday 7-3:30.
JOB DUTIES
Perform daily facility inspections and address deficiencies Track incoming/outgoing waste shipments Treat wastewater via oil/water separation, chemical precipitation and carbon absorption De-water and/or stabilize solid and sludge waste Monitor tank capacities to optimize plant capacity and function Operate vacuum trucks, skid loader, pumps and/or roll-off trucks in a safe manner Perform necessary housekeeping to keep work areas safe, clean and organized Follow all safety, security and compliance requirements Wear and properly use safety equipment at all times
ENVIRONMENT
Lifting, climbing and bending Must be able to work on feet most of the day Varied weather working conditions in hot, cold and wet conditions Strong odors and smells
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Industrial wastewater pre-treatment experience is preferred, but not required Facility maintenance experience is helpful Equipment operation (skid loader, forklift, etc.) experience is helpful
