Operator-ln-Training The City of Cumberland will be accepting applications for the position of Plant Technician for our Operator-ln-Training (OlT) program. The Operator in Training (OlT) program develops Plant Technicians who will operate Cumberland's Water Filtration Facility. Cumberland is searching for self-motivated, career driven individuals for our OIT program. The three-year apprenticeship program provides the following:

• Paid on-the-job training (Starting Hourly Rate S19.20 per hour)
• Salary depends on education, experience and licenses.
• Potential to go to a Plant Technician I within six months ($21.71
• Current Rate of Pay)
• Potential to go to a Plant Technician ll within 12 months ($24.67
• Current Rate of Pay)
• Potential to go to a Plant Technician lll in Three Years ($29.81
• Current Rate of Pay)
• Paid overtime
• Professional certification(s)
• State certification exam
• Assigned experienced mentor

• Excellent Benefit Package Eligibility Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma/GED Equivalent
• Pass a standard physical exam
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
