Lead Process Design Engineer (Power Generation - Simple Cycle / EPC)

Lead Process Design Engineer - Power Generation (400 MW Simple Cycle / EPC) Excellent pay, mobilization, and per diem offered. We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to support the design and execution of 400 MW-class simple-cycle power generation projects within an EPC environment. This role is responsible for defining plant performance, developing process systems, and ensuring seamless integration with mechanical, civil/structural, and electrical disciplines. This position combines detailed engineering design with construction and commissioning support to ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and field-proven. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own process design basis and system philosophy
• Create and review PFDs, P&IDs, and heat & mass balances
• Define equipment sizing and specifications (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, fuel systems)
• Perform process calculations (efficiency, heat rate, flow rates, pressures, temperatures)
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural disciplines
• Support HAZOPs, design reviews, and safety evaluations
• Provide construction and commissioning support including troubleshooting and startup tuning Required Experience
• Bachelor's in Engineering
• 8+ years in process engineering within power generation or heavy industrial EPC environments
• Strong understanding of gas turbine systems and balance of plant (BOP)
• Experience in EPC or design-build project execution
• Hands-on involvement in detailed design and field support/commissioning
• Familiarity with applicable industry standards and practices Leadership & Practical Judgment
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and designers
• Strong systems thinking and cross-discipline awareness
• Makes sound engineering decisions under pressure
• Balances performance, reliability, cost, and schedule
