Manufacturing Engineer, Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement Florence, AL • Belmont, MS Full-TimeOn-Site$70,000 - $85,000 /yr Posted March 09, 2026 Manufacturing Engineer ( Facilities/OPEX Planning) Direct Hire/Perm NW Alabama - Work is ONSITE daily We are seeking for our Facilities team, a Manufacturing Engineer at our NW Alabama located industrial site, in a position responsible for guiding the planning, execution, and ongoing support of facility systems, production equipment, and overall operational infrastructure. The role focuses on evaluating current resources and creating strategies that strengthen efficiency, reliability, and long term performance throughout the organization. The engineer in this role will develop and refine production methods and operational workflows while selecting, installing, and validating machinery, tools, and related equipment. A major focus will be increasing output quality and overall cost effectiveness within manufacturing areas. The position requires identifying and resolving issues that affect productivity such as delays, material waste, or extended cycle times. Collaboration is central to the work, and the engineer will partner closely with production teams, quality groups, and product design staff. Continuous improvement practices and operational excellence initiatives will be supported and promoted regularly.
Additional responsibilities include:
establishing equipment requirements defining project schedules, and guiding facility expansions, layout adjustments, and equipment upgrades l verify equipment needs and work closely with maintenance teams on technical projects The ideally Qualified candidate for this role will bring as MUCH of the following as possible...you don't need to be a 1:1, but those who are close, will be given priority consideration: Candidates should hold a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering. ( Those Engineers that bring a 2 year degree, with solid directly applicable expeirence will absolutely be considered as well) We would like to see those with three or more years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role or a closely related field is required. Familiarity with Autodesk tools such as Autocad and Inventor, along with strong ability in Microsoft Office and Excel, is considered beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for working across departments. Applicants should demonstrate effective troubleshooting abilities, sound problem solving skills, and comfort working in a fast moving production environment.
