Job Description

Job Overview KTNA Alabama, located in Hollywood, AL, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Lean Manufacturing Pilot. The ideal candidate will be the focal point for implementing, deploying, and sustaining the Lean culture and tools across our plant. This role requires extensive knowledge of Lean methodologies and manufacturing practices within the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities Lean Culture & Workshops:
Lead the execution of the Plant Lean plan, facilitate workshops (5S, SMED, Hoshin, VSM), and train plant employees on Lean topics.
  • Visual Management:
    Deploy standard production boards and GAP boards, supporting production managers and teams with implementation.
  • Process Mapping & KPIs:
    Ensure Internal Value Stream Maps (VSMs) and plant layouts are up to date. Monitor key productivity indicators, including MOD (Direct Labor), MOI (Indirect Labor), OEE%
  • Workstation & Layout Design:
    Participate in defining/validating workstations and plant layouts. Ensure Standard Work documentation (SWC, WCT) is updated and support the Industrialization Department on new projects.
  • Cost Reduction (CRP): Direct the plant's Cost Reduction Plan (CRP) and drive VAVE initiatives, organizing weekly cross-departmental follow-up meetings to optimize process value and eliminate waste..
  • Internal Audits:
    Participate in the Internal Audit program to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a Lean Pilot or in a similar continuous improvement role within an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
