Job Description

About the
Opportunity:
We are seeking a professional to support the development and optimization of off-line pre-assembly and sequencing areas within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role focuses on layout planning, process flow design, material movement, capacity assessment, and cross-functional coordination to ensure efficient delivery of components and subassemblies to the assembly line.
What You'll Do:
Develop and maintain layouts for off-line pre-assembly and sequencing areas. Define process flows and arrange workstations, equipment, material presentation, staging, and transfer points. Assess space and capacity requirements against production volumes, product variants, and assembly-line demand. Plan how components and completed subassemblies move through the areas and reach their assembly-line delivery points. Coordinate with line planners, logistics, production, industrial engineering, quality, and equipment specialists. Evaluate layout alternatives for efficient flow, operator access, ergonomics, and safe material movement. Define equipment and workstation requirements and support technical reviews with suppliers. Support installation, trials, and ramp-up activities. Resolve layout and process issues and update planning documentation.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in automotive manufacturing layout or process planning. Practical knowledge of pre-assembly, sequencing, or comparable areas supplying an assembly line. Ability to create and interpret manufacturing layouts using CAD or the client's designated planning software. Understanding of material flow, capacity requirements, takt time, workstation design, and ergonomics. Strong coordination skills and the ability to manage interfaces between manufacturing and logistics. Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering education, or equivalent relevant experience.
