facility. The role relies on team input, experience, and judgment to achieve manufacturing goals. Responsibilities + Ensure successful transitioning of new products from development to production. + Collaborate with R D Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Quality, and Materials staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. + Assess product manufacturability with R D Engineering. + Participate in design reviews and approval phases. + Evaluate tooling or equipment requirements to support production and manufacturing. + Support design changes of products once they enter production. + Assist in developing inspection criteria with Quality Control. + Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities associated with development and production problems. + Create, maintain, and improve processes, workflow, and process documentation. + Develop or improve assembly fixtures to support product development and production. + Submit Engineering Change Requests for review and approval. + Review and approve Engineering Change Orders. + Collaborate with the Materials Group to develop and implement technical requirements for suppliers, and resolve supplier issues. + Maintain product Bill of Materials in ERP system. + Work with cross-functional teams to create and maintain Methods of Manufacturing within ERP system. + Coordinate with QA on production and manufacturing issues, including non-conforming product disposition. + Provide technical engineering expertise to Production and Manufacturing. + Support the APQP process, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow. + Create and maintain work instructions for production. Essential Skills + 5+ years experience in mechanical engineering, product development engineering, and mechanical design. + Proficiency in Solidworks, ASME-Y14.5, GD&T, and design. + 5 years experience in tooling and fixture design in military, DoD, automotive, or aerospace sectors. + Experience in developing work instructions in regulated environments (DoD, Aerospace, Auto). + ERP system experience, particularly Epicor 10, though any ERP experience is acceptable. + Mechanical engineering expertise and proficiency in Excel data analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5-7 years experience working in a manufacturing environment, including welding, machining, and overall manufacturing processes. + Experience with CNC machining and metal fabrication. + 5 years experience with military specifications and requirements. + Proficiency in welding requirements and specifications. + Ability to write detailed work instructions and specifications. Work Environment The work is conducted at manufacturing, design, and test facilities located in Arizona. The environment is collaborative and involves working with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation in manufacturing processes.
