Accepting Candidates About the role Join an electronics manufacturing team supporting SMT production processes and process optimization activities. This role focuses on supporting surface mount technology (SMT) operations, soldering processes, and manufacturing workflow improvements to ensure quality and efficiency in electronics production. This position requires hands-on experience with SMT equipment, soldering processes, and IPC standards within an electronics manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Support SMT manufacturing processes including solder paste printing, component placement, and reflow operations Operate and support SMT equipment including printers, inspection systems, and placement machines Perform process optimization activities to improve production efficiency and product quality Support soldering and conformal coating operations including selective soldering and underfill processes Assist in troubleshooting SMT production issues and identifying root causes Monitor and support inspection processes including AOI and X-ray inspection Support depaneling and press-fit equipment operations Ensure compliance with IPC standards and manufacturing quality requirements Maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes and procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations Collaborate with production teams to improve workflow and process reliability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering) 3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing Strong experience with SMT manufacturing processes Experience with SMT equipment including: Solder Paste Printers (MPM or Ekra) Solder Paste Inspection (Koh Young) Component Placement (Mycronic or Fuji) Reflow Ovens (BTU) AOI Systems X-Ray Inspection Systems Experience with IPC-A-610 and J-Std-001 standards Experience with soldering and conformal coating processes Experience with selective soldering systems (ERSA preferred) Experience with conformal coating equipment (Nordson preferred) Knowledge of depaneling and press-fit processes Experience with FactoryLogix preferred Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting underfill and plasma cleaning processes Experience working in regulated or high-reliability electronics manufacturing environments Experience supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities Experience supporting high-volume electronics production Compensation Estimated hourly range: $38-$40/hr (W-2) Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
Schedule:
2nd Shift (2:30 PM start), 9/80 schedule
Work Schedule:
100% Onsite
