Role Summary We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead manufacturing process development and help build our engineering capabilities as we grow. This is a hands-on role requiring deep knowledge of precision component manufacturing, from raw material through finished product. The right candidate will develop manufacturing processes, establish engineering standards, and work cross functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Scheduling, Operations, Quality Assurance, Finance and Leadership to ensure jobs are properly planned and ready for production. We need a builder- someone who understands how complex parts are manufactured, can teach others, and takes ownership of the process from start to finish. Key Responsibilities 1. Manufacturing Process Development Own process planning for complex aerospace and defense components. Translate customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements into complete manufacturing plans. Define machining operations, equipment, tooling, work holding, outside processing, and inspection requirements. Develop accurate routers and travelers in JobBOSS². Evaluate manufacturability, process efficiency, and cost impact. 2. Manufacturing Readiness & Execution Ensure jobs are fully engineered and ready before timely release to production. Work directly with CNC Programming, Operations, Quality, and Scheduling to resolve manufacturing challenges. Support first-article production and new product introduction (NPI). Address process issues, routing errors, and manufacturing changes throughout production. 3. Material Engineering Own technical material review and material definitions. Define material specifications, conditions, starting sizes, and quantities. Establish accurate Material Masters within JobBOSS². Engineering Leadership & Process Improvement Help build and lead the manufacturing process engineering function. Establish standard practices for process planning, routings, and engineering release. Provide technical direction, coaching and mentorship to less-experienced engineers and planners. Improve engineering throughput, accuracy, and coordination with Operations. Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing methods and processes. Required Qualifications 7+ years of manufacturing/ process engineering experience in precision component manufacturing. Strong hands-on knowledge of CNC milling, turning, tooling, and work holding, along with metallurgy and special processes, (NDT, Coatings, Heat Treating). Proven ability to develop complete manufacturing processes from customer drawings and specifications. Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, materials, and machining knowledge. Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to develop manufacturing processes and standards. Engineering degree or equivalent practical manufacturing experience. On-site in Anaheim, CA. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace, Space, or Defense manufacturing experience. High-mix, low-volume precision machining background. AS9100 manufacturing environment. JobBOSS² or similar ERP/MRP experience. CNC programming or machining background. What Success Looks Like Complete, accurate manufacturing plans before jobs reach the shop floor. Improved engineering throughput and limit production delays caused by process issues. Standardized routings, material definitions, and manufacturing methods.
