Develops and optimizes manufacturing processes. Works directly on the shop floor, troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day operations. Ensures all projects are driven through all phases of development and execution while collaborating with vendors, customers, and upper management. DUTIES Provide engineering and manufacturing mentorship, guidance and support for machinists in achieving production goals. Support product design and process improvements to drive enhancements. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence on the shop floor. Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to resolve manufacturing challenges. Take full ownership of manufacturing projects, from initial concept and design through development, implementation, and production. Ensure projects are executed efficiently, meeting deadlines, quality standards, and time requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for project-related issues, coordinating with all management and team members to ensure success. Develop and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Lead the development of work instructions, process documentation, and training materials. Work with Quality Assurance in conducting root cause analysis of manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions. Actively engage in day-to-day production to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Communicate with customers to address manufacturing requirements, resolve technical issues, and provide updates on project progress when needed. Collaborate daily with supporting departments, including production, machining, maintenance, quality, and design engineering, to ensure timely delivery of products in the correct quantities. Serve as a liaison between engineering and production to ensure seamless communication and alignment on priorities.
