Systems Engineer - Automation & Manufacturing Systems Overview We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design and delivery of customized automated equipment within advanced manufacturing environments. This role involves developing integrated electromechanical systems that support precision processes and scalable production solutions. The position requires a combination of mechanical design expertise, systems thinking, and project execution skills to deliver reliable and efficient solutions in a dynamic, customer-focused setting. Key Responsibilities Design and develop complete system solutions by integrating mechanical, electrical, and control components for automated equipment. Translate functional requirements into practical engineering designs that meet performance, quality, and cost objectives. Manage projects through the full lifecycle, including concept development, design, build, validation, and delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across design, controls, and implementation activities. Support automation efforts involving motion systems, programmable controls, and user interfaces. Perform feasibility assessments, risk evaluations, and cost estimates to support project planning and execution. Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate progress, and ensure successful outcomes. Develop and maintain engineering documentation such as system layouts, technical specifications, and operating instructions. Contribute to process improvements and system optimization initiatives to enhance performance and reliability. Provide technical support and guidance to team members across disciplines. Participate in occasional travel to support project-related activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Experience in system design, equipment integration, or manufacturing engineering environments. Proficiency with CAD tools and general engineering design practices. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and structural concepts. Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to industrial automation, robotics, or motion-based systems. Familiarity with control systems, data acquisition, or process monitoring tools. Knowledge of engineering methodologies such as tolerance analysis, risk assessment, and design optimization. Experience working in production or manufacturing environments. Background in multidisciplinary project coordination or technical leadership. Work Environment This role operates across both office and production settings, supporting the development and deployment of engineered systems.
