Job Description

Apple is looking for a world-class circuit design engineer to design, develop and launch the next generation of technologies for the mobile, laptop and desktop displays in Apple products.

DescriptionThe display panel design team is responsible for delivering the advanced panel circuits, designs and technologies to enable the world's best display performance in Apple products. Individual will serve as a focal point in architecting and developing display circuits including pixels, driving circuits and panel designs for mass production. This includes circuit simulation, circuit layout/optimization, whole panel architecture/simulation, and co-existence design/simulations with other components (sensing/cameras/others) in Apple products.
Responsibilities:
Display panel architecture scoping and definitionDisplay pixel and panel design, layout and parasitic parameter extractionDisplay pixel and panel modeling, characterization, and validationFailure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for mass-production display developmentNew transistor technology exploration, investigation, and validationCollaboration with cross-functional teams, including display panel process, Optics, Touch designers, Silicon designers, Mechanical Engineering and Product DesignCollaboration with external vendors for display manufacturingInternational business travel to support project implementationPreferred QualificationsExperience in technical knowledge of displays or related electronicsExperience in display pixel, gate driver designsUnderstanding of Thin-Film Transistors (TFTs) and display panel processExperience in characterizing electrical performance of electrical circuitsExperience in designing and manufacturing high volume display productsMinimum QualificationsMinimum requirement of a bachelors degreeExperience with electrical Engineering circuit design fundamentals (analog and digital)Experience with SPICE/Cadence modeling and simulationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $190,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
