Engineering ManagerMUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING AND SHEET METAL ENVIRONMENT
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION
ROLE:
You will have two main elements to your role: 1) Working with customers: Typical activities include designing, evaluating, recommending, tooling up, and prototyping. 2) Working with the shop: Typical activities include resolving issues, processing ECRs, optimizing manufacturing processes, designing jigs/fixtures, and converting prototype jobs into production jobs.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be an in-house authority on all job shop sheet metal manufacturing.
- Process hot prototype parts & assemblies with quick on-the-fly DFM while improving and streamlining long-running production jobs.
- Provide the production floor with everything they need to process jobs correctly and provide the customer with the peace of mind that their work is in good hands.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- 5+ years' experience in equivalent or similar role
- Deep understanding of the job shop sheet metal manufacturing world including but not limited to, programming, punching, forming, welding, machining, and assembling
- Strong comprehension of engineering level drawings, quality requirements, and specs
- Able to perform DFM analysis for precision sheet metal parts and assemblies
- Able to design jigs and fixtures for typical sheet metal parts and assemblies
- Strong teamwork, communication, and people skills.
